HOME CAL
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how information is handled in HOME CAL (the “app”) and on its overview and support website.

1. Operator and contact
Operator: tetsuyaota
Email: devota.support@icloud.com
Contact this address with privacy questions, requests to delete support correspondence held by the operator, or other inquiries. The operator cannot access your calendar and cannot delete calendar events on your behalf.
2. Information used and its purposes
- Calendar and event information: Calendar details and event titles, dates, times, notes, recurrence information, and related fields are used to let you choose a calendar and view, add, edit, and delete events.
- HOME CAL display information: Category identifiers, names and colors, outlines, shading, tentative status, and daily emoji are used to display and share your plans.
- Local preferences and demo data: The selected calendar identifier, category preferences, language, display settings such as text size, and demo events and emoji are saved on your device.
- Support correspondence: Your email address and information you provide are used to respond to your inquiry and investigate reported issues.
3. Calendar access
The app uses Apple’s EventKit and requests full access to the device’s calendars. This permission is not limited to a single selected calendar. The app’s normal event viewing and editing operations target the calendar you select.
The app does not require an Apple Account sign-in within the app or a separate HOME CAL account. It does not obtain or store your Apple Account password or authentication tokens. iOS, iPadOS, and your calendar provider handle account management and synchronization. For iCloud, also see Apple’s Privacy Policy.
4. Display settings and calendar sharing
Category names and colors, outlines, shading, and related settings are saved in a marked HOME CAL settings block at the end of event notes. The app treats your regular memo text separately from this block. Category lists and personal customizations are managed on each device. In Apple Calendar and other apps, the settings block is visible as part of the notes. Deleting or changing it may prevent HOME CAL from restoring colors, outlines, or other display settings.
When you select a shared iCloud calendar, events and settings stored in their notes are synchronized with the people who have access under that calendar’s sharing permissions. A daily emoji is saved as a separate all-day event. Calendars stored only on the device are not shared through iCloud. Manage participants and editing permissions in Apple Calendar.
5. Storage and external transfers
The app reads and writes events through the device’s calendar store. The operating system and your calendar provider handle synchronization with iCloud or other services. The app does not send or store calendar or event information on an operator-run server. Information needed to display events is processed in the app’s memory.
Category preferences, the selected calendar, demo data, and related information are saved on your device. The app uses iOS file protection for its local data file and excludes that file from backups. Some preferences, including language and display settings, use the operating system’s preferences storage.
If you choose to share or print a PDF, a PDF containing your plans is passed to the app, recipient, printer, or other destination you choose. The app has no advertising SDK or custom behavioral analytics or tracking functionality. The operator does not use calendar information for advertising or sell it.
6. Retention, deletion, and withdrawing permission
Events and the HOME CAL settings in their notes remain in your calendar until you delete them, subject to your calendar provider’s retention and recovery practices. Deleting an event in HOME CAL changes the selected calendar and is synchronized with people sharing that calendar.
Deselecting a calendar only stops the app from displaying that calendar. It does not delete events, notes, or sharing settings. You can revoke calendar access in your iPhone or iPad Settings. Revoking access or deleting the app does not remove events or HOME CAL settings already stored in the calendar. To remove them, delete the relevant events or remove the HOME CAL settings block from their notes.
Local category preferences and demo data remain on the device while you use the app. Using the operating system’s Delete App option removes app-local data; Offload App retains it. Manage exported PDFs and printed copies yourself. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to respond and handle related matters. Except where required by law, it is not provided to third parties without your consent.
7. Overview and support website
This website has no analytics, advertising, inquiry form, or functionality that sets its own cookies. The hosting server may record access logs, such as IP addresses, access times, requested pages, and browser information, for reliable operation and protection against unauthorized access. Logs are handled only within the scope and period necessary for those purposes.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated when app features or information-handling practices change. Changes will be published on this page. Material changes will also be communicated through the app or another appropriate channel.
